Mount Shasta Friends of Tibetan Culture
We are a group of individuals who have volunteered to organize and support various Tibetan activities in the Mount Shasta area including the visits of the Gaden Shartse Monks of India.
Monasteries and monastic individuals normally receive no financial support from government or other agencies. Donations received by the monks usually go toward the construction, maintenance and support of their represented monastery and projects which support members of their local communities. In the East, the relationship between monastic and lay is one of mutual support, with the monks offering spiritual support, teaching and ceremonies, and the lay community offering the “four requisites” of food, clothing, shelter and medicine to the monastic community. Your support of the Mount Shasta Friends of Tibetan Culture provides an opportunity to participate in this ancient relationship. Your contributions of volunteer services and donations are greatly appreciated. If you would like further information, please contact:
